Family Patient Record 1835-1843
This record located in Dugas and Eve's ledger was for a bricklayer and his family. It spanned from October 2, 1835 to March 7, 1843. On October 2, 1835, the charge for an infant visit was $1. A catheter cost $0.50, dressing of a finger cost $1, and visits for a "lady" (possibly his wife) cost $1 each. On February 27, 1842, the charge for treating a hydrocele was $2. Over the span of almost seven years, the bricklayer owed $47.50.
