PubMed Errors Using Internet Explorer 6.0
Recent changes at PubMed have produced problems for some users of Internet Explorer 6.0. In some cases PubMed will load but displays "done, but with errors on page" in the bottom left corner when the user tries to search. Some users reported getting only code when attempting a Single Citation search. The solution from PubMed follows:
Option 1: Use Firefox 2.0 (free download)
Option 2:
Step 1:
In Internet Explorer 6.0,
Go to Tools, Internet Options.
Select the Advanced Tab.
Scroll down to HTTP1.1 settings.
Check the following checkboxes: Use HTTP1.1 and Use HTTP1.1 through proxy connections.
Click Apply.

Step 2:
Click the top General tab.
In the Temporary Internet files section click on Delete files and OK.
Click OK to close the Internet Options window.
Close and re-open your browser and try your PubMed search again.

Optional step 3:
If the above steps do not solve the problem then also do the following step:
Go to Tools, Internet Options.
Select the Privacy tab.
Click on the Sites button.

Verify that 'nih.gov' and 'docline.gov' are allowed sites.

If they are not, add them individually to the 'Address of Web site' field and click the 'Allow' button. They should then display in the 'Managed Web sites' area.
If you have errors in the future, delete the Temporary Internet files by following step 2 above.
