Enter terms in exact order, left-to-right (also known as left-anchored searcing),
EXCEPT Author terms (lastname firstname). Avoid using articles like "a,"
"an", or "the"l as the first search term.
The Author, Subject Heading, and Call Number fields may be browsed (ability to
go forward or backward alphabetically in those fields).
To find material authored by Robert Greenblatt:
Click "Previous" to browse backward or "Next"
to browse forward in the list of authors.
Click Titles or Headings links to display results.
The Title and Journal Title fields retrieve only records that
match search terms in those fields - no browsing is permitted. It is acceptable
to search by official MEDLINE journal abbreviations in the Journal Title field.
The full ISSN and ISBN should be entered in exact left-to-right order for those
fields; the search results for the ISSN and ISBN may not be browsed.
It is recommended to disregard Command as a "Search in" option because Command
searching requires extensive knowledge of the GIL@MCG database to do a credible search.
"Narrow Your Search" (limits) may only be applied to fields that cannot be browsed: Title,
Journal Title, and Command.
"Quick Limits" may only be applied to the non-browsable fields: Title, Journal Title,
and Command: Last 10 Years, Videorecording, and
Journals.
